SplynteR is looking for newer EG Flagging pilots to join its ranks! By enlisting with splynteR to complete a Tour of Duty, you will be contracted for 3 months as an active and open minded pilot. You will undergo intensive flagging training in the splynteR flagging school, initially learning essential flagging basics and later progressing to advanced flagging techniques. The formal training program is conducted by experienced EG pilots who have served as pilots, council members, and leaders in major squads in EG!

SplynteR understands that you may one day want to join a 'top level' squad. Our training program is designed to help you get there! While completing a Tour of Duty, you will nominate your future direction - whether it be to graduate to SplynteR, or perhaps one day like to join Blood, RisinBlood, or perhaps Mutiny or Zen.

During your 3 month Tour of Duty contract, you formally agree to stay with splynteR and complete your flagging training, where you will receive personalised feedback as to how you can improve to become a 'top gun'. If it is appropriate, SplynteR can even contact the top squads on your behalf, and provide direct progressive feedback from them as to whether and when they are interested in accepting you!

At the end of your Tour of Duty, if you are accepted for graduation to SplynteR or by another nominated future squad, you graduate from the splynteR flagging school as a life member. As a life member, you part of an exclusive club of flaggers who are always welcome back to the SplynteR family!

If you are not accepted for graduation, you may be invited to complete another 3 month Tour of Duty, where you can further improve on your skills and continue to have fun with us. SplynteR has a long and proud history of training up pilots, and our current life members currently serve on top squads including Blood, RisinBlood, and Zen!

The splynteR training program is freqs and freqs of fun! You will be developing your skills in a close and active team environment of 25+ other active students! 1. You realise that you probably suck at flagging, but would love to improve!
2. You have an open mind, and listen well and follow instructions
3. You are able to consistently get at least 2000+ kills per reset
4. You have not flagged in Extreme Games zone for more than 12 months

Q. How do I join splynteR?

Q. Who runs the splynteR training program?
A. Experienced flaggers who are members of SplynteR, run the formal training program, which runs through the theory and practice of basic to advanced flagging techniques. These trainers have had leadership and training experience in various major top squads.

Q. Why does SplynteR run the training program? What is in it for SplynteR?
A. SplynteR firmly believes that strong teamwork can overcome a collection of individual talent! In other words, we believe that a splynteR freq of complete n00bies who know how to flag together, can defeat a freq full of 'vets' from an established squad - (whether it be Blood, RisinBlood, etc). We're the squad of exciting rookies daring to challenge them all.
Competition is the name of the game, and SplynteR is there to compete, learn and improve for the next game!

Q. What exactly is the formal training program you offer?
A. The training program has been developed to cover both theory and practice of flagging in EG. To graduate, pilots MUST attend each part of the course, where topics are run at multiple and different times each week. Flagging with SplynteR is NOT the same as flagging with any other squad, and the training program has been designed to meet this.

Q. I don't want to graduate to another 'top' squad. I just want to be in SplynteR!
A. Many pilots feel this way! You are perfectly welcome to complete the splynteR training program and be invited to graduate to an 'ordinary' SplynteR pilot. SplynteR pilots are known for their superb attack skills, crazy rushing, and awesome lag attaches. Eventually if you complete 4 Tours of Duty (1 year total), you are automatically graduated to a SplynteR pilot.

Q. What is the history of SplynteR?
A. While a member of the Blood council, SplynteR was created by primetime* as a junior "ally" squad to the Blood Squadron (owned by Thantos and led by King). Used as a test-bed for new talents in EG, a steady stream of exciting pilots were discovered who were graduated to squads such as Blood, RisinBlooD, and Impurity. Spun-off as a separate squad in late 2003, SplynteR continued to thrive and has re-organised itself to focus on its core strengths - finding talents, learning, improving, and having fun!

Q. What happens if a pilot leaves mid-way through a Tour of Duty contract?
A. Theoretically this will not happen. SplynteR prides itself on maintaining strong personal and open communication with all pilots. The squad is here to help pilots improve, and get them where they want to be. In exchange for the time and dedication given, it is hoped that splynteR pilots return the favour and stick it out until the end of their Tour. Pilots may then graduate to a top squad, or leave on their free will to join another squad. Of course there is no way to enforce this, but as a highly organised and fun squad, the retention and success level achieved by SplynteR is extremely high.

Q. What is a SplynteR life member?
A. SplynteR life members are those pilots who have graduated from the splynteR training program to another external 'top' squad. It is a club, where pilots share a special chat channel, have access to a member forum, and are always welcome back to rejoin SplynteR squadron. SplynteR is a close and ever lasting family, here to make EG even more fun!

Q. What is SplynteREC?
A. SplynteREC is the name for our Recreational fraying squad. All splynteR pilots are entitled to one alias on the SplynteREC squad. Prizes are awarded to those who win EG Rec places each reset!

Q. What are considered as 'top squads'?
A. The top squads in EG are currently understood to be: Blood, RisinBlood, Zen and Mutiny. This list may change as the fortunes of squads rise and fall over time.

Q. Can I just join SplynteR?, and not go through the training program?
A. Of course you can! (.. if you are good enough). Normal recruiting rules apply though, and you may be subject to a two week guest pilot period. SplynteR openly welcomes any experienced pilot who wants a fun and active squad to flag with! Contact the SplynteR council in-game for more information.
